Witnesses sought to Peel Road assault

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault in Douglas.

A man was walking with friends when he was targetted by a group of males on Peel Road near the junction with Belmont Hill at around 4am on Sunday.

It's believed the attackers ran towards McDonalds after the assault.

The road was quiet at the time, but officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw what happened or drove past the incident.
