Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash

A motorcyclist needed hospital treatment after colliding with a car in Douglas.

The red motorcycle and silver car crashed at the junction of Prospect Hill and Athol Street at around 4.45pm yesterday.

The rider sustained injuries to his leg and was taken to hospital, while the driver of the car escaped unhurt.

The road was closed for a couple of hours while police carried out investigation, and officers are now keen to hear from anyone who was at the scene.
