New headteacher for Scoill Phurt le Moirrey

One of the Island's primary schools has a new headteacher.

Ange Callaghan will take up the post on a permanent basis at Scoill Phurt le Moirrey, having been acting head since April.

Mrs Callaghan replaces Sue Mowle, who took up a role within the Department of Education and Children earlier this year.

She began teaching at Victoria Road Primary School in 2001 before moving to Port St Mary in 2007, and has been the deputy head there for the last five years.
