Just one of the Island's schools says it's providing better school dinners to its pupils since the catering service was centralised.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen admitted most schools thought they were receiving a similar level of quality or a worse service than when they provided meals themselves.
However, the Minister insists that work is underway to improve the service following suggestions that portion size and the quality of the food served has fallen.
In the 2015-16 financial year, the Government made a loss of £83,000 providing catering for schools.
