Technical issue for Ben-my-Chree

Passengers on this morning's sailing to Heysham could be delayed by up to three hours because of a technical issue with the ferry.

The Ben-my-Chree left Douglas at 8.45am and was due to dock at the Lancashire port at lunchtime, but the Steam Packet Company says its arrival will now be late.

The operator warns that delay could be as long as three hours, but more will be known once engineers have been able to assess the situation.

Passengers on the return crossing to Douglas at 2.15pm have been asked to check in as normal.
