Manx motorists are being urged to make sure their vehicles are reading for winter.
Police in the north and west of the Island are carrying out winter checks in the run up to Christmas to ensure cars are safe for the road.
Officers will mainly be looking for lighting offences and tyre defects, as well as looking out for drivers using their mobile phones and speeding.
Members of the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team have already been looking out for vehicles with defects, stopping drivers in Sulby this morning.
Police are advising those using the Island's roads to check their vehicle or get a specialist to take a look to make sure it's safe to be on the road.
