The shop at Noble's Hospital will be closed this weekend for a refit and stocking.
The Department of Health and Social Care is rebranding the shop after failing to attract a third party to run the facility.
The shop will be closed today, tomorrow and Monday while the changes are made, while staff will transfer to the Department and continue their current shifts.
The changes are only temporary though, with the Department continuing to look for another operator.
Wessex Retail have operated the shop for the last 13 years, but were unsuccessful when the contract was put out to tender earlier this year.
Anyone visiting the hospital while the shop is closed will be able to use vending machines in the hospital's atrium.
