Jurby woman dies in Lezayre Road crash

A Jurby woman has died following a crash on Lezayre Road.

The 27-year-old was driving towards Sulby at 6.30pm yesterday when she lost control of the car and collided with a tree near the junction with the Churchtown Loop Road.

Two children were also in the black Vauxhall Astra, and were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

All three emergency services attended the scene and police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Anyone who saw a black Astra being driven in the north of the Island ahead of the crash is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
