The Minister responsible for the Island's fisheries is warning anyone caught fishing without the necessary paperwork will be prosecuted.
It comes after a fisherman from Scotland was fined £12,000 and had a catch worth more than £4,500 seized for fishing for queen scallops in Manx waters without a licence.
Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot insists the Department is committed to protecting the Island's fishing industry, which includes ensuring stocks are sustained through licensing.
He adds that his Department will continue to apprehend and prosecute anyone found to be violating the rules.
Full details of the licensing requirements for fishing in Manx waters can be found on the Government's website.
