Loaghtan ram killed in dog attack

Police are investigating another incident of a dog attacking sheep in the west of the Island.

A Loaghtan ram was killed in an attack in a field at Ballacosnahan Farm on Patrick Road.

The incident happened between Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon this week, and police believe the owner of the dog responsible would have been aware of the attack.

Officers issued a similar appeal yesterday following an attack at a farm near the Archallagan plantation, which also resulted in the death of a sheep.
