A couple from London will travel to the Isle of Man to enter an opposite-sex civil partnership today.
Claire Beale and Martin Loat are set to become the first UK-based heterosexual couple to enter such a partnership.
The partners from Ealing have been together since 1992, and want a formal recognition of their relationship without having to get married.
Last week local couple Kieran Hodgson and Adeline Cosson became the first opposite-sex couple to take advantage of the Island's new laws, which made marriages and civil partnerships available to all couples earlier this year.
The Island is currently the only place in the British Isles offering civil partnerships to opposite-sex couples.
