Plans to re-open the former Pinewood Pub in Pulrose have been handed a boost following a hearing of the Island's licensing court.
The Pinewood Social Club had their application for a licence approved yesterday, allowing the club to progress its plans to re-open the facility.
Douglas South MHK Bill Malarkey, who is on the club's committee, confirmed the news on Facebook.
Those behind the plans want to provide community activities and events for those in the local area following the closure of the pub earlier this year.
Application packs for anyone interested in joining the social club are available at Pulrose Post Office.
