Police appeal after dog attacks birds

Police are appealing for information after a dog attacked a number of birds in the west of the Island.

The black and white spaniel cross targetted several birds in an enclosed field near the Archallagan plantation at around 3pm on Monday.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who lost their dog for a few minutes in the area on that day, or anyone who can identify the responsible dog.

A picture of the animal has been released on the Western Neighbourhood Policing Team's Facebook page.
