Man left with serious injuries in Douglas

Police are continuing their investigations after a man was left with serious injuries in Douglas over the weekend.

Officers were called to Mona Street on Friday night following an incident at a property in the area.

A 30-year-old local man will appear in court this morning charged with wounding with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.

The injured male's wounds are serious but are now not considered life threatening.

Police have already spoken to a number of people, but anyone who has information which could help the investigation is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212
