Witnesses sought to alleged Castletown assault

Witnesses are being sought to an alleged assault on a woman in the south of the Island.

The woman alleges that she was targetted in the early hours of Saturday morning following a night out with friends in Castletown.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of the Promenade and James Road between midnight and 6am and saw a white female, aged 36 wearing a black coat, dark clothing and carrying a green handbag with pink flowers.

Police also want to speak to anyone who heard a disturbance in the area between the relevant times.
