Planning permission sought for TT campsite

Planning permission is being sought to use a field in Onchan as a campsite during two of the Island's busiest periods.

Ballakaighen Farm want to use the field next to their Fun Barn to accommodate motorsports fans during TT and the Festival of Motorcycling.

The site would provide up to 110 pitches and vehicle parking, as well as a portable shower block and toilets.

The field has been used as a campsite during these weeks over the last three years with temporary permission, but the landowners now want a permanent agreement.
