Ramsey students invited to try new sports

Students at Ramsey Grammar School will get the chance to try a range of new sports later this month.

Manx Sports and Recreation is running a program called 'the Northern Six' - encouraging youngsters to take up sports they might not have tried before.

The sports featured will be badminton, hockey, golf, judo, rugby and netball.

The scheme has been run before at Castle Rushen as the Southern Six, resulting in an increased interest in club sports from students in the area.

The event will be open to Year 7 pupils on October 19th.
