Tynwald to vote for Chief Minister

Tynwald will meet this morning in a bid to elect the Island's next Chief Minister.

Kate Beecroft, Alf Cannan and Howard Quayle have all been nominated for the position.

The successful candidate will need the support of the majority of the Manx Parliament to take up the post, which could result in numerous rounds of voting.

Allan Bell held the position for the last five years, but stepped down from the House of Keys at last month's election.
