The Government will provide day services for older people from next week after failing to find a private provider.
The Department of Health and Social Care put the service out the tender, but no suitable external providers came forward.
From Monday, the Adult Social Care Directorate will provide day services after the current provider - Age Isle of Man - chose not to bid for the contract.
The Department admits that the situation is a last resort, but that no other options are available.
