Five speeding motorists caught in Ballasalla

Police carried out speed checks in Ballasalla this morning.

Five motorists have been caught speeding in the south of the Island this morning.

Police officers from the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team were conducting speed checks in Ballasalla first thing.

It follows a number of complaints from residents about the speed some drivers pass through the village at.

This morning's checks resulted in five vehicles being stopped for breaking the speed limit.

Those caught face a £120 fine and up to three penalty points on their driving license.
