Foster carer receives honours medal

A Ramsey woman who has been a foster carer for 20 years has received a medal recognising her work.

Rosemary Mazzone was awarded a British Empire Medal as part of the Queen's birthday honours earlier this year.

As well as fostering, Mrs Mazzone has also been involved in Ramsey Youth Club and regularly organises charity events.

Ahead of receiving the medal from the Island's Lieutenant Governor, the mother-of-six told MTTV why she wanted to help foster children [play audio].
