Nominations deadline for Chief Minister candidates

Nominations for the role of Chief Minister must be made by the end of the day.

MHKs hoping to fill the House of Keys' top job have to be put forward by 5pm.

Kate Beecroft, Howard Quayle and Laurence Skelly have all publicly expressed an interest in the post.

Tynwald members will get to hear from those standing on Friday ahead of a vote in the Island's parliament next week.

Allan Bell, who has held the role for the last five years, announced his retirement from politics ahead of last week's General Election.
