Man disturbs burglars at Douglas house

Police are investigating after a man caught burglars in his Douglas property.

The owner of the house - which is currently unoccupied - arrived at Annacur Lane at Midday on Sunday to find a car parked on the drive.

As well as there being two men in the blue Renault Clio, a further two men were inside the house.

The driver is described as being in his 30s with sandy hair, while the men in the property were younger - one had ginger hair and acne scars while the other was wearing dark coloured clothing.

Items of sentimental value had been gathered before the thieves were disturbed.
