Tributes were paid by football fans at Middlesbrough's match in the Premier League following the death of a Manx footballer.

Louis Thornton - who was captain of local club Corinthians - died earlier this month while in the UK to attend a match.

Supporters at the Riverside held a minute's applause in the 26th minute of their match against Tottenham on Saturday for the 26-year-old.

The tribute also featured on the BBC's highlights show 'Match Of The Day', while flowers, shirts and messages continue to be left at Corinthians' pitch.
