12-time trials world champion Dougie Lampkin made history by wheelie-ing his way around the TT course.
Despite the weather forcing the 40-year-old to push his effort back by 24 hours, he was able to complete the 37.7-mile course inside the allotted two-hour limit yesterday evening.
The entire lap was broadcast live on Red Bull TV, with the majority of the roads still open to traffic heading in the opposite direction.
The Yorkshireman received messages of support and congratulations from a number of well-known figures on Twitter, including former F1 driver Mark Webber, two-time British Touring Car Champion Jason Plato and TT star Ian Hutchinson.
