TheatreFest encourages local writers

A festival encouraging writers and composers to produce new work for the theatre takes place for the second time this weekend.

TheatreFest 2016 will include a performance of last year's playwriting competition winner.

The festival has a different theme each year - this year's is journeys.

Lisa Kreisky and Kristene Sutcliffe have written a musical theatre piece in a week to be performed at the festival along with David Holland. They told MTTV about the writing process: [play audio]
