Tributes are expected to be paid at a Premier League football match this weekend following the death of a local footballer.
Corinthians captain Louis Thornton was found dead at a hotel in Liverpool last week - he was in the city to watch Middlesbrough play Everton.
The 26-year-old has been described as a lifelong Boro fan, with media in the North East reporting that his passing will be marked with a photo and tribute in the match programme for Saturday's game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Flowers and messages have been left on Corinthians' pitch following the news of his death, while the club's fixtures for this weekend have been postponed.
