From the Back Bench to Comin.....

Seven former back benchers will no doubt be in the shake up for Ministerial positions in the new Government following last nights House of Keys Election.

Alf Cannan, starting his second term, is considered by some as a potential Chief Minister candidate. He was previously Chairman of the Civil Service Commission and the Manx Utilities Authority.

But Chris Thomas, Kate Beecroft and Bill Malarkey could also be considered for Ministerial posts, while Ralph Peake, Ray Harmer and Geoffrey Boot all arrived fairly recently in By-Elections.

But the outgoing Chief Minister Allan Bell, says that a new Chief should not rule out using Members of the Legislative Council in the new Cabinet.
