An exhibition to mark the 70th anniversary of comprehensive education on the Island has opened its doors.
Ramsey Grammar School and Ballakermeen High School were the first two comprehensives to open on the Island in 1946, accepting students regardless of income or ability.
The two schools are thought to be amongst the first comprehensives in the British Isles, with similar facilities not being widely introduced in England until 1965.
Memorabilia from Ramsey is on display at the Ramsey Heritage Centre until November.
Curator of the exhibition John Cannan told MTTV that there is a wide range of items on display [play audio].
