Taxi driver assaulted in Douglas

Police are investigating after a taxi driver was assaulted in Douglas in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The taxi picked up two men and a woman from Athol Street between 3am and 3.30am on September 11th before stopping outside Eurocars on Peel Road, where the assault took place.

It's alleged one of the male passengers carried out the attack on the driver once the taxi had pulled over.

Officers are keen to speak to those who were in the taxi, along with the occupants of a silver vehicle that is believed to have pulled over in front of the taxi while the assault happened.
