Residents looking for public sector housing in the south of the Island will be able to join a new waiting list from today.
The Local Authorities of Port Erin, Castletown, Rushen and Malew are joining together with the Department of Infrastructure to offer one combined list for the south.
Until now applicants had to register with an individual parish, but it's hoped the new system will allow those in need of housing to find a suitable home more quickly.
Those wishing to be considered for the list can submit an application to their local parish or the DoI's housing division.
The scheme will initially be trialed for three months.
