Prisoner death caused by sepsis
Fri, 09 Sep 2016
A court has heard how a Ramsey man died after falling ill while serving a sentence at the Island's prison.
49-year-old Peter Higgins died in Noble's Hospital last month after developing sepsis.
Tests revealed his condition was the result of quinsy - an abscess caused by tonsillitis.
The inquest was adjourned while investigations continue, and will reconvene in front of a jury at a later date.
