A ceremony will take place in Ramsey later to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of a soldier with links to the Island.
Brigade-Major Harry William Crippin died while serving with the Royal Artillery on the Western front during World War I.
Crippin was born in Huyton near Liverpool, but his parents later moved to the Island to live in Ramsey.
A cross will be placed at the town's war memorial near Parliament Street at 6.30pm, followed by a minute's silence.
