Island to go lime green for Duchenne
Wed, 07 Sep 2016
Buildings on the Isle of Man will turn lime green today to raise awareness of a muscle wasting disease affecting sufferers across the Island.
September 7th is Duchenne Awareness Day - to mark this seven-year-old Finley Hesketh will help turn the Island a different colour.
He's the only child eligible for Translarna treatment on the Isle of Man - at present Government is refusing to pay for the drug which could slow the disease down.
In the quest to raise awareness the Tower of Refuge will go green as well as the Ports and Harbours Building, the Power Station, Sea Terminal and Ramsey Swing Bridge.
