Conspiracy pair to stand trial after reservoir assault
Wed, 07 Sep 2016
Two people will stand trial after being accused of conspiring together to commit an assault.
20-year-old Maisie Mcmahon and 21-year-old Emanuel Kaneen appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
The duo - from Willaston and Douglas respectively - both denied a charge of conspiracy from February 4th.
They're accused of conspiring to commit an assault which would cause actual bodily harm to another man.
On that date it's alleged a man was attacked by a group of people with baseball bats after arriving at the Clypse Reservoir in Onchan that night.
Committal proceedings will take place on November 1st where the case will be elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery - both have been bailed in the meantime.
