Homeowners told to trim their bushes
Wed, 17 Aug 2016
Householders are being warned to trim bushes, hedges, trees or shrubs which are causing an obstruction to pedestrians or motorists.
Douglas Borough Council says the foliage needs to adhere to the boundary line of a property so it doesn't interfere with street lighting or obstruct the view of drivers.
The council says it will write to offenders in the first instance to try and rectify the issues but if people don't comply they will serve a notice on the owner or occupier of the property.
