New simulators to be used as training aid for medical staff

Medical staff on the Isle of Man who are responsible for the care of new born babies and young children are being given more interactive training.
Two life-like patient simulators have been purchased following a $45,000 donation from the US based Dr Scholl Foundation.
The interactive manikins are used by training staff to replicate real life clinical scenarios in a bid to give the medical professionals a more realistic experience.
Doctor Vijay Angusamy is the clinical lead for medical simulation - he says it enables a variety of situations to be carried out:
