Twelve members of the IoM Archery Club turned out to shoot at Greeba on Sunday. The round of the day was a WA1440 (90/70/50/30m for the Gents, 70/60/50/30m for the Ladies). Weather conditions were not good with a strong, gusty wind blowing that created problems at the longer distances. This was reflected in the scores. Temperatures were high though so it was not cold and the wind died away towards the end of the day.

It was the usual three way tie between Pete Mumford and Rhys and Dave Moore in the Gents Compound division. Once again Rhys dominated, with Dave taking second place despite having a couple of misses. Pete Mumford managed to score with all his arrows but had to be content with third.

Sarah Rigby gave Joy Gough some company in the Ladies Compound division. It was great to see Sarah again after a long lay-off, especially as she seemed to be in such good form. Both women recorded a miss but Sarah romped home the winner 86 points ahead of Joy.

In the Gents Recurve division both Josh Trafford and Danny Cowin recorded multiple misses, with the wind causing greater problems for the lower powered Recurve bows. In spite of having four misses Josh still broke the 1000 point barrier to take the win.

Three Junior archers also turned up on Sunday. Toby Young and James Hill shot a Metric III (50/40/30/20m) according to their age group. James struggled with the adverse conditions but finished just a few points below his best. Toby however, made light of the conditions adding a terrific 138 points to his pb for the round. He finished just 1 point off the Club Record and would have broken it if he had not had a single miss early on.

Nathan Kinrade turned up in the afternoon to shoot a Short Metric IV (20/10m), he had only one miss and added a solid 17 points to his pb for the round.

Compounder Colin Moore and Recurver Alex Parkes shot a Long Metric (90/70m) round in the morning session and got the worst of the weather. Colin kept all his arrows on target but Alex, who had never shot the round before, struggled with the conditions.
