'Grey area' of juvenile offenders to be addressed

Legislation on the Isle of Man could be changed to ensure 17-year-olds who appear in court are treated as juveniles.
At present someone who's that age will go through the system as an adult - this means in most cases their personal details can be reported.
The Department of Home Affairs is considering changing the age to 18 as part of efforts to update the Criminal Justice System.
Detective Inspector Neil Craig works within the Youth Justice Team he says it would remove the current 'grey area'.
He says naming a teenager when they're 17 can have a knock on effect in terms of their future opportunities and that can impact on everyone:
