'Significant minority' of households struggling to cope financially

A 'significant minority' of households on the Isle of Man are finding it difficult to cope financially.

That's the finding from the new Social Attitudes Survey - it shows 31 per cent of respondents feel their financial situation has worsened over the last 12 months.

50 per cent of the 2,000 plus respondents said they felt wealth inequality had increased over the year.

Treasury Minister Eddie Teare has branded the results 'disappointing':
