Victim Support backs proposed changes to criminal justice system

Changing the way evidence can be delivered in court cases could improve the process for victims and witnesses of crime.
That's the message from Victim Support - the charity has welcomed the Department of Home Affairs' plans to update legislation concerning the Island's criminal justice system.
One of the proposed changes is to allow the pre-recording of cross examination of vulnerable victims and witnesses including children.
It means they would be able to access psychological support or counselling prior to a trial - something they're not currently allowed to do.
