Halsall's hopes for Douglas East

A General Election candidate says he's standing for election due to the "near total lack of compassion" shown by the current government administration.

Richard Halsall has declared for Douglas East ahead of September's vote - he'll stand as a Manx Labour Party candidate.

He's described the constituency as the "heart" of the Manx tourism sector and says with 30 years' experience he's committed to the "promotion and development" of the industry.
