A red flag incident stopped last night's Southern 100 opening Side Car Race. 

 

During the fifth lap of the races a sidecar outfit crashed at Ballawhetstone.

 

The driver was checked by the course doctor and the passenger was transferred to Noble's Hospital for further treatment.
