Police say they've received a number of complaints from the public about 'illegal' culling of Great Black-Backed Gulls.
Officers say people have contacted them, and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, to inform them of individuals shooting the birds and questioning the legality of it.
It's led to one man being investigated for wildlife offences - it was later found he was operating under the conditions of his general licence.
Wildlife crime officer PC Chloe Keegan has thanked the public for their vigilance and says officers will also investigate concerns regarding firearms:
