A teenager from Peel has been ordered to carry out community service after daubing graffiti over the walls in someone else's bedroom.
17-year-old Darius Matthew Brown used a black marker pen to write obscene words and pictures in the room at The Chesterfield on Douglas Promenade on March 13th.
Two months later, on May 13th, he was caught damaging advertising signage at Douglas Rugby Club - whilst drunk he kicked and destroyed three boards worth £450.
The teen later admitted two charges of damaging property - at Douglas Courthouse last week his advocate described his actions as "stupid" and "childish".
She told the court "he doesn't behave in society as the rest of us do" adding that whilst Brown realised he'd caused inconvenience he had no income so no ability to pay compensation.
Magistrates imposed a Combination Order which includes 12 months of probation - they were also told reparation is an avenue being explored by the Youth Justice Team.
