Bibliotherapy book scheme to encourage social interaction

A new 'bibliotherapy' scheme has been launched on the Isle of Man.

The Mobile Family Library is using books to encourage social interaction for those who do not socialise often - in order to maintain a healthy and active mind.

It's been set up following funding from the Manx Lottery Trust and will work with the elderly in the community - there are also plans to offer the service out to more people including those who live by themselves.
