Emergency services are warning people not to fall for a phone scam claiming to be from the 'Fire Department'.
A member of the public reported a caller who said they'd been offered spare advertising spaces in a book which cost £90 with all money being donated to 'the fire people'.
The Fire and Rescue Service says this has nothing to do with it and it would never phone and ask for money - it's also asking people to warn any elderly or vulnerable friends and relatives who are likely to be more susceptible to scams like these.
Anyone who may have got a name or number from the scammer is asked to report it to Police Headquarters.
