Ayre Clay Target Club hosted three competitions at Blue Point on Sunday in perfect sunny conditions.
The two Olympic disciplines of Skeet and Trap were sponsored by Absolute Scaffolding. Mark Riley won the Trap league with 44/50. Phil Ward was second on 39 with Neil Parsons one behind on 38 to take third. Jeff Corkill won the Skeet league with 39/50. Mark Riley was second on 38 with junior shooter Jake Brew in third place with 27. Riley went on to win the CopyCat trophy for Olympic Trap with 90/100. Parsons was second on 84 with Ward in third on 77.
Dave and Pam Corlett sponsored the third round of the Sportrap league. This was won by Marty Kneen with a score of 38/50. Kevin Oates was second on 35 with Phil Butler and Paul Mihailovits sharing third place overall on 34. Thanks to Nigel Moffatt for the testing layout.
