Brandywell becomes accident 'blackspot'

Police are looking at introducing additional safety measures to counteract an accident blackspot on the Mountain Road.

Eight motorbike riders have come off at Brandywell in five days - on Thursday a 55-year-old man from Bolton died on the approach to it.

Officers are pleading with bikers not to go 'full throttle' up Hailwood's Rise - they say they're consulting with the Department of Infrastructure about extra signage.
