UPDATED: Man fined after being caught on closed roads

A 62-year-old man has been fined £500 after being caught on closed roads.

Christopher Sharp, who lives on Douglas Road in Ballabeg, appeared at Douglas Courthouse today where he pleaded guilty to being found on closed roads.

He entered the Southern 100 course from an adjacent property during the Pre TT Classic Road Races on Monday.

Marshals had to enter the course in order to remove him - police say he'd been drinking.
